Hashtags play an important role in Instagram by facilitating user interaction. Hashtags make it easier for one to find content of their interest on Instagram, as well as increasing the engagement of posts shared on the platform. Searching tags is a great way to discover new accounts, find content topics you enjoy, get inspired, and interact with other users. Here's how to search hashtags on Instagram:
Step 1: Go to the Instagram app on your device, and enter the hashtag you are looking for in the 'Search' function at the top of your screen.
Step 2: Upon searching for the hashtag, you will be redirected to a page filled with posts that have featured that specific hashtag. In this page all latest posts related to the hashtag will be listed at the top whereas older posts will be sorted further down.
Step 3: If you would like to view only video or photo posts related to that hashtag then you can use filters given below where it has categories like 'videos', 'photos' etc. You can also filter results based on date and other criteria such as Top Posts or People Posts
Step 4: You can also bookmark certain hashtags so that they appear in your 'Bookmarks' tab under Settings in order to access them quickly when needed. To add a hashtag to your list of bookmarks simply click on "Popular" located under each post and then click "Save" next to the chosen hashtag and it will be added your list of bookmarked hashtags.
Step 5: Additionally you can follow individual hashtags so that new posts appearing with it are easily visible from your timeline. To do this tap on any post which contains a hashtag of choice and tap "follow" just above it's comment section after which new updates appear from that particular hashtag from time to time in your feed .
Step 6: By visiting the profile page for a specific tag you can access more information about it like its user engagement rate along with other information such recent posts using it, who created it etcetera
